Plants Toxic to Small Animals
Small animals include pets such as mice, rats, gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits. The types of plants that are toxic will vary depending on the type of animal but below are some of the more common plants that are dangerous for small pets.

1. Azalea & Rhododendron
There are over 1000 species in this family of related species. Even a tiny amount of these plants ingested can be toxic to small pets.

2. Lily of the Valley
Sweet-smelling bell-shaped flowers that can grow in the shade but they can cause heart problems for your pet if any part of it is ingested.

3. Onion, Garlic, Avocado
It's not only flowery & leafy plants that can be dangerous for birds. Onions & garlic can cause kidney damage while avocadoes can lead to breathing and heart problems.
