I had read online that the Spectra line of the Nexgard flea, tick, worm medicine is the ultimate protection at a reasonable cost. Saves having to purchase 2 medicines to protect your animal, however, my border collie suffered extreme itch skin, restlessness and diarrhea big time. She literally at herself scratching her legs raw and wouldn't rest. After 2 days of this, she is finally better, except for her skin where she chewed them raw. Her diarrhea is not quite over. I had read about the side effects and thought that like any drug they would be manageable. The study on 100 dogs showed that there were significant side effects to this drug, so much so that I am not sure it should even be on the market. a few dogs had to be euthanized in the study because of ataxia (nervous system disorder). I am carefully watching our dog now for any lasting effects. Research before buying, then research again! As for PetsDrugMart, I have no issues with them, they were very good to deal with other than some confusion as to who was getting the medicine as my veterinarian had prescriptions for my 2 cats and the dog in one email. The cats were not getting anything from PetsDrugMart, this confusion delayed delivery of the Spectra by more than 10 days. Good pricing though on their products, and the check your prescriptions.
